Experiment of Drying Kelp with High Voltage Electric Fields

2008 International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application, 2008
In order to improve the drying qualities of seaweed, a new drying technology with the high voltage electric field was put forward for seaweed in the paper. The kelp were dried under a direct current (DC) high voltage electric field (HVEF) using a multiple point electrode and a grounded rectangle stainless steel plate at 15degC.

Computation of Electric Field Distributions in High-Voltage Equipment

IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1971
In an earlier paper two of the authors described a general-purpose digital computer program suitable for solving, with considerable precision, multidielectric fields in two dimensions or in three dimensions with at least one axis of symmetry. The program, after being rigorously checked, has been extensively used for several years to solve many ...

Deodorization of sunflower oil by high voltage electric field as a nonthermal method sunflower oil refining by electric field

Journal of Food Science, 2022
Abstract In this study, the high voltage electric field (HVEF) method was used for deodorization of sunflower oil to omit drawbacks of an established industrial method including long time, high energy, chemicals and water consumption, loss of bioactive compounds, and formation of some contaminants due to ...

Efficient computation of electric field in high voltage equipment

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1990
The efficient indirect boundary-element method is applied to the calculation of 3-D electric fields in high-voltage devices. For solving this problem with sophisticated boundary conditions and with dielectric media, the authors adopt real surface elements, a fast and accurate computation approach, and thin-layer medium treatment.

Measurement of Charge Transfer to Aqueous Droplets in High Voltage Electric Fields

Langmuir, 2017
The electric charge acquired by aqueous droplets when they contact an electrode is a crucial parameter in experimental and industrial applications where electric fields are used to manipulate droplet motion and coalescence. For unclear reasons, many investigators have found that aqueous droplets acquire significantly more positive than negative charge.
