Correlation Energy of an Electron Gas at High Density [PDF]
The quantity ec is defined as the correlation energy per particle of an electron gas expressed in rydbergs. It is a function of the conventional dimensionless parameter rs, where rs-3 is proportional to the electron density. Here ec is computed for small values of rs (high density) and found to be given by ec=Alnrs+C+O(rs).

Bremsstrahlung in High Density Media at High Energies [PDF]
Qualitative discussions are presented concerning the effects of the collective motion of media for the bremsstrahlung process in high density at high energies. The derived formula of the bremsstrahlung cross section is sinnilar to the Nozieres-Pines' cross section of Compton scattering obtained by taking into account effects of the collective motion of

Energy loss of an energetic Ga ion in hot Au plasmas
Self-consistent calculations of energy loss for a Ga ion moving in hot Au plasmas are made under the assumption of wide ranges of the projectile energy and the plasma temperature with all important mechanisms considered in detail.

A comparative study of bridged 1,2,4-oxazolones and their derivatives
For energetic compounds, a slight difference in their molecular structures can result in a tremendous difference in their properties. Compounds with similar structures but exhibiting big difference in their physicochemical properties (such as density and

Recent experimental development in high density QCD, majority of which are provided by the experimental studies with the high-energy heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC. A new era in this field has just began with the successful heavy ion run at LHC in November 2010. We can expect abundant new results from both LHC and RHIC in the coming years.

Terahertz Cherenkov radiation induced by a self-modulated electron beam in plasma wakefield
In this paper, a novel scheme of generating terahertz radiation is proposed, which considers a relativistic electron beam being modulated by its self-excited plasma wakefield in a plasma-filled slow-wave structure (SWS).

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...
