We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Geodynamics Based on Solidification of Liquid/Molten Substances in the Earth’s Interior
Since its formation, the Earth has cooled from molten magma to the present layered structure. The liquid and molten substance in the interior of the Earth continuously solidifies, radiating heat to the outer space and causing changes in the pressure and ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Density functional theory calculations of point defects and hydrogen isotopes in Li4SiO4
The Li4SiO4 is a promising breeder material for future fusion reactors. Radiation induced vacancies and hydrogen isotope related impurities are the major types of point defects in this breeder material.

Unitarisation dependence of diffractive scattering in light of high-energy collider data
We study the consequences of high-energy collider data on the best fits to total, elastic, inelastic, and single-diffractive cross sections for pp and p p ¯ $$ p\overline{p} $$ scattering using different unitarisation schemes.

BAMO-THF copolymer-based energetic thermoplastic polyurethanes with a decent bonding property
Despite the high enthalpy of formation of poly(3,3-bis(azidomethyl)oxetane) (PBAMO), it is not readily applicable as a polymeric binder for propellants owing to its low chain flexibility and poor mechanical properties.

High-Energy-Density Flexible Dielectric Film via One-Step Extrusion Processing
Flexible dielectric films based on fluoropolymers demonstrate a high breakdown strength and dielectric constant and are considered better potential candidates for high-energy-density capacitors than is commercial biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
