Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Loss reduсing in pulse tranformer of betatron injection system [PDF]
Present betatrons have limited operating frequency, which is no more than 400 Hz. It's caused by thermal operating mode of betatron elements. High voltage injection system is the one of betatron elements. The highest thermal losses is observed in core of

Improving Vision Transformers by Revisiting High-Frequency Components
The transformer models have shown promising effectiveness in dealing with various vision tasks. However, compared with training Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, training Vision Transformer (ViT) models is more difficult and relies on the large-scale training set.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Optimal passive filter design for effective utilization of cables and transformers under non-sinusoidal conditions [PDF]
Transformers and cables have overheating and reduced loading capabilities under non-sinusoidal conditions due to the fact that their losses increases with not only rms value but also frequency of the load current.

High-Frequency Lithium Acetate Transformation of Schizosaccharomyces pombe [PDF]
The introduction of ectopic DNA, such as plasmids, into yeast cells has for decades been a critical protocol for the study of this eukaryotic model system. We describe here an efficient transformation procedure for use in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
