Voltage Regulation and Power Loss Analysis on 500 kV EHV Transmission Line Krian-Grati

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical, Energy and Power System Engineering
The transmission system distributes electricity from power plants to substations before reaching consumers. During this process, obstacles such as power loss and voltage regulation occur, which must meet specific standards to prevent equipment damage ...

42nd Australian Surveyors Congress 2001: A Spatial Odyessy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
This paper reports the results of several tests conducted at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) to determine the frequency with which initialisation failures occur in the Trimble 4700 RTK receivers when operating beneath high voltage power lines.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Analysis of climatic factors affecting high-voltage overhead lines in the conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The article analyzes the harsh climatic factors affecting the operation of high-voltage power lines in Uzbekistan with hot, dry weather and polluted atmosphere. Based on the analysis of all climatic factors affecting the operation of insulation and other

Feasibility of high frequency alternating current power distribution for the automobile auxiliary electrical system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This study investigates the feasibility and potential benefits of high frequency alternating current (HFAC) for vehicle auxiliary electrical systems. A 100Vrms, 50kHz sinusoidal AC bus is compared with 14V DC and 42V DC electrical systems in terms of ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Transposition and Voltage Unbalance in High Phase Order Power Transmission Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
: High phase order systems have been proposed at the early inception of power transmission engineering, but few direct applications have been made. High phase order transmission should be considered as an alternative in the case of high power density ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.
