LOCATING CRITICAL LINES IN HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL POWER GRIDS
Electrical power grids are among the infrastructures that are attracting a great deal of attention because of their intrinsic criticality. Here we analyze the topological vulnerability and improvability of the spanish 400 kV, the french 400 kV and the italian 380 kV power transmission grids.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Auto-oscillations of wires of high-voltage power lines (anchor span)
Dangerous rapprochement or whipping of wires in flight can be caused by dancing the wires. There fore, the distance between the wires and cables should be selected taking into account the expected intensities of the dancing wires.
