Low-Voltage Ride Through Strategy for MMC With Y₀/Y₀ Arrangement Transformer Under Single-Line-to-Ground Fault

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In the offshore wind farm high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) system, the power delivery capability of the onshore modular multilevel converter (MMC) decreases severely under grid fault, which makes the DC-bus voltage increase rapidly and threatens the ...

Value of Information of Improved Traceability in Fresh Produce Markets

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traceability plays an important role in promoting a safe food supply by fostering transparent information exchange along the food supply chain. New technological innovations have the potential to improve traceability outcomes, as greater transparency along the food supply chain can aid in pinpointing precise origins of the contamination ...

How Does Patient Capital Enhance Agribusiness Resilience? Evidence From Chinese Listed Agribusinesses

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In emerging economies where smallholder farming dominates agricultural production, agribusinesses serve as critical intermediaries linking smallholders to broader markets, and their resilience directly affects agricultural sustainability. Short‐term‐oriented capital is reluctant to adequately finance highly uncertain and cyclical agricultural ...

Structure and Spectroscopic Characterisation of Phenanthroline‐Based Iodobismuthate(III) Complexes Utilised for Raw Acoustic Signal Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Memristors based on trimethylsulfonium (phenanthroline)tetraiodobismuthate have been utilised as a nonlinear node in a delayed feedback reservoir. This system allowed an efficient classification of acoustic signals, namely differentiation of vocalisation of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula).

Record Dissymmetry in Vibrational Optical Activity: Combining Vibronic Coupling and Aggregation in Cobalt(II) Camphorate Complexes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The cobalt(II) bis(trifluoroacetylcamphorate) scaffold exhibits versatile coordination chemistry with solvent‐driven ligand exchange and geometrical rearrangements, associated with unique chiroptical properties. Microcrystalline suspension of [Co(tfc)2(CH3CN)2] revealed the largest VCD dissymmetry factor ever reported (g ≈ 0.2 at 1600 cm−1), arising ...

A DFIG low- and High-Voltage cascading failure through strategy based on GSC and RSC joint control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
In wind power DC transmission systems, commutation failures cause significant reactive power fluctuations at the direct current (DC) transmission end, leading to sequential changes in voltage from low to high and often causing wind turbines to disconnect

Fault ride-through of renewable energy conversion systems during voltage recovery

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2016
Asymmetrical voltage swells during recovery of a short-circuit fault lead to fluctuations in the dc-link voltage of a renewable energy conversion system (RECS), and may induce reversed power flow and even trip the RECS. This paper studies characteristics

Redistributive land reforms, agricultural productivity, and structural change: New cross‐national evidence

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Large‐scale land reforms constitute a substantial redistribution of wealth and reallocation of agricultural land, which is a major form of asset and production input in developing countries. While land redistribution (from the rich to the poor) remains a highly controversial issue, extensive evidence on its effect is limited.

Choice experiments on land managers' participation in environmental programs: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of estimate validity

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Discrete choice experiments are increasingly being used to estimate land managers' willingness to accept participation in incentive‐based environmental programs. This is a specific application of discrete choice experiments: the estimation of willingness to accept for a private good (program participation) where respondents have to make trade ...
