New techniques of multiple integral field spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The work of this thesis is to investigate new techniques for Integral Field Spectroscopy (IPS) to make the most efficient use of modem large telescopes. Most of the work described is aimed at the FMOS for the SUBARU 8m telescope.

High Volume Instrument analysis for major fiber quality traits of mature fibers harvested from greenhouse grown cotton lines under normal and stressed conditions.

open access: yes, 2015
†The data is the average of 3 replicates for normal and drought stress treatments and the measurement of pooled fiber sample from 3 HT-replicates due to limited boll set on HT-stressed cotton plants.High Volume Instrument analysis for major fiber quality

Brain structural and neurofunctional correlates of liability to psychosis : a multimodal neuroimaging approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Schizophrenia is one of the most debilitating and still not entirely understood mental diseases. Improvements in the treatment came hand in hand with an introduction of antipsychotics and thus with better understanding of neurobiology underlying its ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Effects of Reynolds number and solidity ratio on advection dominated mixing in a high-altitude instrument

open access: yes, 2023
Due to the role of ClO and BrO in the rate-limiting step of the catalytic cycles enabling ozone loss, measurement of concentrations of these halogen molecules is of critical importance to understanding the loss rate of ozone in the stratosphere.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Medium and high energy x-ray instrument for sample characterization

open access: yes, 1996
A medium to high energy x-ray diffractometer, based on commercial components, is described. The performances of such an instrument in investigating relatively thick crystalline samples are exploited.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Clustering and Classification of Cotton Lint Using Principle Component Analysis, Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering, and K-Means Clustering

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2018
Cotton from the three cotton growing regions of Uganda was characterized for 13 quality parameters using the High Volume Instrument (HVI). Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) and k-means clustering were used to
