Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Complexity Hierarchies and Higher-order Cons-free Term Rewriting
Constructor rewriting systems are said to be cons-free if, roughly, constructor terms in the right-hand sides of rules are subterms of the left-hand sides; the computational intuition is that rules cannot build new data structures. In programming language research, cons-free languages have been used to characterize hierarchies of computational ...

Higher Order Properties of the Wild Bootstrap Under Misspecification [PDF]
We examine the higher order properties of the wild bootstrap (Wu, 1986) in a linear regression model with stochastic regressors. We find that the ability of the wild bootstrap to provide a higher order refinement is contingent upon whether the errors are

Simulation of 2D dynamical triangulation with higher order curvature terms [PDF]
We present a numerical result of the Monte Carlo simulation of two dimensional random surface generated by dynamical triangulation under influence of higher order curvature terms.

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Thermodynamics of Electrolytes.: V. Effects of Higher-Order Electrostatic Terms [PDF]
The contribution of higher-order electrostatic terms (beyond the Debye-Huckel approximation) to the thermodynamic properties of mixed and pure electrolytes is investigated. It is found that these effects are important for cases of unsymmetrical mixing, especially when one ion has a charge of three units or more.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

In this work, soliton solutions of higher order non-linear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with derivative non-Kerr non-linear terms are constructed by employing two analytical techniques, namely, exp(-Φ(ζ))-expansion and improved simple equation methods ...

Global Dynamics of a Higher Order Difference Equation with Quadratic Term
In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of following higher order difference equation x_{n+1}=A+B((x_{n})/(x_{n-m}²)) with A,B and initial conditions are positive numbers. Especially we study the boundedness, periodicity, global asymptotically stability and rate of convergence of related higher order difference equations.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...
