The Effects and Differences of Sprint Interval Training, Endurance Training and the Training Types Combined on Physiological Parameters and Exercise Performance [PDF]
Sprint Interval Training (SIT) is a time efficient way in order to elicit similar changes as Endurance Training (ET) on aerobic capacity, with the purpose of the exercise training to alter physiological systems and exceed resting homeostasis to improve ...

Abstract Aims This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of a low‐carbohydrate diet with exercise (LCD + EX) compared to a non‐carbohydrate‐restricted diet with exercise (NRD + EX) on glycemic control and other clinically relevant metabolic health outcomes in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Plyometric exercise combined with high-intensity interval training improves metabolic abnormalities in young obese females more so than interval training alone [PDF]
International audienceThe aim of this study was to compare the effects of 12 weeks of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with the effects of 12 weeks of plyometric exercise combined with HIIT (P+HIIT) on anthropometric, biochemical, and physical ...

This systematic review and meta‐analysis, which examined the effects of acute endurance training on immunoregulatory myokines, showed significant small‐moderate to very large positive effect sizes for IL‐6, IL‐10, IL‐1ra, IL‐8, IL‐15, and TNF‐α. These effects were significantly moderated by risk of bias, sex, age, V̇O2peak, experience, type of exercise,

Physiological responses to HIIT
This study was accomplished to find out the effects of HIIT on both anaerobic and aerobic capacities separately. Method: Twenty-four healthy individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 participated voluntarily in this study. The volunteers took part in the study were split into two distinct groups as control group (n = 14) and experimental group (n = 10).

Abstract Obesity rates have surpassed underweight globally, increasing the burden of cardiometabolic complications on healthcare systems. Hypoxic training has emerged as a potential intervention to improve cardiometabolic health in adults with obesity, but evidence remains inconclusive. This systematic review and meta‐analysis evaluated whether hypoxic

ABSTRACT The Milano‐Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics present an opportunity to synthesize evolving paradigms in endurance training within the broader context of long‐term athlete development. As Olympic winter sports span from endurance‐limited events to disciplines in which aerobic fitness primarily serves as a feeder capacity, a single training model is ...
