Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Defect Detection on Texture using Statistical Approach

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Industri, 2015
In this paper we present several techniques for detecting simple defect on the texture. The simple defect means, that the defect can be detected via image histogram or via wavelet of the image histogram.

Median quartet tree search algorithms using optimal subtree prune and regraft

open access: yesAlgorithms for Molecular Biology
Gene trees can be different from the species tree due to biological processes and inference errors. One way to obtain a species tree is to find one that maximizes some measure of similarity to a set of gene trees.

AWARENESS AND USE OF GROSS MOTOR FUNCTION MEASURE (GMFM-66) FOR CEREBRAL PALSY AMONG PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

open access: yesFUUAST Journal of Biology, 2021
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is the non-progressive neurological disturbance which leads to motor and mental impairment during the pre-natal ,natal and post-natal life of an infant .To evaluate the CP (GMFM-66) is the most commonly used tool which analyzed by ...

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

PROPERTIES OF SELECTED SIGNIFICANCE TESTS FOR EXTREME VALUE INDEX

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Oeconomica, 2014
The paper presents two tests verifying the hypothesis about the shape parameter of the generalized distribution of maximum statistic. It is called the extreme value index.

A Modular Liver–Microbial Microfluidic Platform to Evaluate Therapeutic and Adverse Effects of Microbial Metabolites

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a modular microfluidic platform that connects liver cells with live microbes to mimic key aspects of the gut–liver interaction in steatosis. Using this system, both microbial metabolites and live bacteria significantly reduced fat accumulation in liver cells, but live microbes triggered inflammation and broader metabolic changes ...

Multifunctional Catechol‐Functionalized Cellulose Hydrogels for the Minimally Invasive Treatment of Acute Optic Nerve Injuries

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Catechol‐functionalized cellulose hydrogels are developed as injectable, bioadhesive platforms for retinal neuroprotection. The hydrogels exhibit tunable rheological and mechanical properties, strong tissue adhesion, and sustained antioxidative activity.

Eigenvalue estimates for Hill's equation

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1975
such that (1.1) is stable for the X intervals (& , X,,,). (In case (1.3) there are also negative eigenvalues.) Assuming (1.2), Guggenheimer [5] gave lower estimates for the case of coexistence, i.e., for the case that hi = fli for some i. By means of his geometric method we show that the same estimation is generally possible for the fli .

Crystal Growth Engineering for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Plating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This research employed the rare‐earth ion dysprosium (Dy) to modulate aqueous zinc (Zn) metal plating. Integrated multiscale experiments and computational modeling unveiled the preferential adsorption of Dy on specific crystal facets, which activated screw dislocation‐driven Zn growth.
