A flexible micro‐electrocorticography array with PEDOT:SS electrodes is shown to be compatible with ultra‐high magnetic field MRI up to 9.4 T. Multimodal brain monitoring is demonstrated by performing simultaneous blood oxygen level‐dependent functional MRI in parallel with electrophysiology.

Task-agnostic Continual Hippocampus Segmentation for Smooth Population Shifts [PDF]
Most continual learning methods are validated in settings where task boundaries are clearly defined and task identity information is available during training and testing. We explore how such methods perform in a task-agnostic setting that more closely resembles dynamic clinical environments with gradual population shifts.

Citron binds to PSD-95 at glutamatergic synapses on inhibitory neurons in the hippocampus [PDF]
Synaptic NMDA-type glutamate receptors are anchored to the second of three PDZ (PSD-95/Discs large/ZO-1) domains in the postsynaptic density (PSD) protein PSD-95.

Ultrathin, flexible neural probes are developed with an innovative, biomimetic design incorporating brain tissue‐compatible materials. The material system employs biomolecule‐based encapsulation agents to mitigate inflammatory responses, as demonstrated through comprehensive in vitro and in vivo studies.

Verbal paired associates and the hippocampus: The role of scenes [PDF]
It is widely agreed that patients with bilateral hippocampal damage are impaired at binding pairs of words together. Consequently, the verbal paired associates (VPA) task has become emblematic of hippocampal function.

Self‐organized Criticality in Neuromorphic Nanowire Networks With Tunable and Local Dynamics
Memristive nanowire networks (NWNs) are shown to be electrically tunable to a critical state where specific local dynamics evaluated by multiterminal characterization are exploited as feature selection in nonlinear transformation (NLT) tasks.

A gradient of frequency-dependent synaptic properties along the longitudinal hippocampal axis
Background The hippocampus is a functionally heterogeneous brain structure and specializations of the intrinsic neuronal network may crucially support the functional segregation along the longitudinal axis of the hippocampus.

A network convergence zone in the hippocampus. [PDF]
The hippocampal formation is a key structure for memory function in the brain. The functional anatomy of the brain suggests that the hippocampus may be a convergence zone, as it receives polysensory input from distributed association areas throughout the

A Vertically‐Stacked Optoelectronic Sensor for Localized Hemodynamics Monitoring
This work introduces a hemodynamics monitoring sensor that features vertically stacked microLEDs and a heterogeneously integrated photodetector. The vertically stacked microLEDs enable localized measurements, and by designing the interoptode distance according to the depth of the target region, this vertically stacked optoelectronic sensor is ...
