Effect of histamine on the electric activities of cerebellar Purkinje cell [PDF]
The effect of histamine (HA) on the electric activities of Purkinje cell (PC) is studied on the cerebellum slice. We find that: (1) HA's main effect on PC is excitative (72.9%); there are also a small amount of PC showing inhibitive (10.2%) or no (16.9%) response to HA.

Lipid Metabolism and Immune Function: Chemical Tools for Insights into T‐Cell Biology
This review explores how lipids regulate immune responses, particularly in T‐cell function. Advances in metabolomics and proteomics provide insights into lipid‐mediated immunity. Fluorescent lipids enable single‐cell analysis of lipid uptake and metabolism.

Abstract Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are diagnosed in 1/100 children worldwide, based on two core symptoms: deficits in social interaction and communication, and stereotyped behaviours. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the largest family of cell‐surface receptors that transduce extracellular signals to convergent intracellular signalling ...

Background: The β2-adrenoceptor agonist, isoprenaline, is an effective inhibitor of histamine release from human lung mast cells (HLMC). Since phosphorylations of the β2-adrenoceptors are probably important in inducing desensitization, we sought to ...

From Allergy to Angina: A Unique Presentation of Kounis Syndrome
ABSTRACT Kounis syndrome (KS) is a rare condition characterized by acute coronary syndrome (ACS) triggered by an allergic reaction. This report presents a case of high‐risk ACS associated with a food allergy. A 53‐year‐old male with no prior medical history presented to the emergency department with itching, facial swelling, chest tightness, shortness ...

Release of TNF-α during myocardial reperfusion depends on oxidative stress and is prevented by mast cell stabilizers [PDF]
Objectives: Our study sought to elucidate the role of oxidative stress for shedding of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and for activating TNF-α-converting enzyme (TACE).

Inhibition of NO-synthase and degranulation of rat omental mast cells in vitro
Mast cell amines, platelet-activating factor (PAF), thromboxanes and leukotrienes have been shown to be released during nitric oxide-synthase inhibition in the rat intestine.

The involvement of spinal release of histamine in the nociceptive behaviors induced by cholecystokinin-8 (CCK-8) was investigated in mice. Intrathecal (i.t.) injection of CCK-8 elicited the nociceptive behaviors consisting of biting and licking.

Prospects of using Antagonist Histamine H2-Receptor (Cimetidinum) as Adjuvant for Melanoma Biotherapy Treatment [PDF]
Improvement of anti-tumor biotherapy effectiveness by modification of immune response with histamine H2 receptor Cimetidinum (CM) was studied using the experimental murine model of B16 F10 melanoma in vivo. It is shown that skin melanoma biotherapy by antitumor whole-cell GM-CSF-producing vaccine with the addition of CM (in dose of 25 mg/kg, daily for ...

Modeling Reservoir Release Using Pseudo-Prospective Learning and Physical Simulations to Predict Water Temperature [PDF]
This paper proposes a new data-driven method for predicting water temperature in stream networks with reservoirs. The water flows released from reservoirs greatly affect the water temperature of downstream river segments. However, the information of released water flow is often not available for many reservoirs, which makes it difficult for data-driven
