Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disease, characterized by Langerhans cells accumulation. In children, LCH is associated with a bad prognosis, since it has almost always multissystemic character. When affecting the lung, Langerhans cells are gathered around small airways, leading to trouble breathing.
