A prospective study of histocompatibility testing for keratoplasty in high-risk patients.
Forty high-risk patients awaiting corneal grafting were randomly selected from a 7-year cumulative list. Twenty were grafted with HLA-A and HLA-B antigen matched material. The other 20 patients were used as controls.

Whole Exome Sequencing to Estimate Alloreactivity Potential Between Donors and Recipients in Stem Cell Transplantation [PDF]
Whole exome sequencing was performed on HLA-matched stem cell donors and transplant recipients to measure sequence variation contributing to minor histocompatibility antigen differences between the two. A large number of nonsynonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms were identified in each of the nine unique donor-recipient pairs tested. This variation

This study provides proof‐of‐concept evidence showing that through direct killing, antigen presentation, and competitively binding to BTN3A1, Vγ9Vδ2 T cells amplified from cervical cancer (CC) patients can synergize with αβ T cells to exert anti‐CC function both in vitro and in vivo.

Angiotensin II Type-1 Receptor Antibody in Solid Organ Transplantation – Is It Time to Test?
Angiotensin II type-1 receptor antibody (AT1R-Ab) has been mooted as a potential effector of both acute and chronic antibody mediated rejection (AMR). A growing body of literature on the topic is now coming under scrutiny in the context of the evolving ...

By decreasing cholesterol and lipid raft levels in the plasma membrane, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) boosts human epidermal growth factor receptor 1 and 3 (EGFR and HER3) activation, driving tumor growth and metastasis in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Control of established colon cancer xenografts using a novel humanized single chain antibody-streptococcal superantigen fusion protein targeting the 5T4 oncofetal antigen. [PDF]
Superantigens (SAgs) are microbial toxins that cross-link T cell receptors with major histocompatibility class II (MHC-II) molecules leading to the activation of large numbers of T cells.
