BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.

Decomposition analysis of differential dose volume histograms [PDF]
Dose volume histograms are a common tool to assess the value of a treatment plan for various forms of radiation therapy treatment. The purpose of this work is to introduce, validate, and apply a set of tools to analyze differential dose volume histograms by decomposing them into physically and clinically meaningful normal distributions.

Selective elimination of quiescent cancer cells by dequalinium chloride via ROS‐mediated ferroptosis
Dequalinium chloride (DQ) selectively eliminates quiescent cancer cells (QCCs) by amplifying mitochondrial ROS. QCCs exhibit elevated basal ROS and limited redox‐buffering capacity, making them vulnerable to further ROS increases. DQ‐induced ROS exceeds the tolerance threshold, triggering lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis, whereas proliferating cells ...

fast-histogram v0.7: fast simple 1D and 2D histograms in Python
Sometimes you just want to compute simple 1D or 2D histograms with regular bins. Fast. No nonsense. Numpy’s histogram functions are versatile, and can handle for example non-regular binning, but this versatility comes at the expense of performance.

In vitro generation of regulatory T cells: A challenging tool for studying immune aging in humans
In vitro induction of human regulatory T cells using standard protocols generates suppressive, Foxp3‐expressing CD4+ T cells independently of TGF‐β supplementation and donor age. Regulatory T (Treg) cells play a key role in immune tolerance and homeostasis.
