Content-Based Image Retrieval Using Shifted Histogram [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper proposes the shifted histogram method (SHM), for histogram-based image retrieval based on the dominant colors in images. The histogram-based method is very suitable for color image retrieval because retrievals are unaffected by geometrical changes in images, such as translation and rotation.

A new multilevel reversible bit-planes data hiding technique based on histogram shifting of efficient compressed domain

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Computer Science, 2018
In this paper, we proposed a new technique for reversible data hiding based on efficient compressed domain with multiple bit planes. We conducted a sequence of experiments to use block division scheme to appraise the result with different parameters and ...

Histogram Shifting‐Based Quick Response Steganography Method for Secure Communication

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, 2022
Steganography is a tool which allows the data for transmission by concealing secret information in a tremendously growing network. In this paper, a novel technique quick response method (QRM) is proposed for the purpose of encryption and decryption. Existing system uses side match vector quantization (SMVQ) technique which has some challenges such as ...

Reversible Information Hiding Algorithm in Encrypted Domain Based on Difference Histogram Shifting [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2019
The embedding capacity of the current difference histogram shifting algorithm is low.To cope with this problem,we propose a large-capacity reversible data hiding algorithm in encrypted domain.First,we use the single homomorphic encryption to enable a ...

Evaluation of two thermal neutron detection units consisting of ZnS/${}^6$LiF scintillating layers with embedded WLS fibers read out with a SiPM

open access: yes, 2014
Two single channel detection units for thermal neutron detection are investigated in a neutron beam. They consist of two ZnS/${}^6$LiF scintillating layers sandwiching an array of WLS fibers.
