Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Steganalytic methods for the detection of histogram shifting data-hiding schemes [PDF]
In this paper, some steganalytic techniques designed to detect the existence of hidden messages using histogram shifting methods are presented. Firstly, some techniques to identify specific methods of histogram shifting, based on visible marks on the ...

Lossless Data Hiding Using Histogram Shifting Method Based on Integer Wavelets [PDF]
This paper1 proposes a histogram shifting method for image lossless data hiding in integer wavelet transform domain. This algorithm hides data into wavelet coefficients of high frequency subbands.

A Subsampling and Interpolation Technique for Reversible Histogram Shift Data Hiding [PDF]
This paper proposes a novel reversible data hiding algorithm for images, which the original host image can be exactly recovered from the marked image after the hidden data has been extracted. The proposed algorithm considers shifting the histogram of the difference values between the subsampled target pixel intensities and their interpolated ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Sand-Dust Image Enhancement Using Successive Color Balance With Coincident Chromatic Histogram
Outdoor images in sand-dust environments play an adverse role in various remote-based computer vision tasks because captured sand-dust images have severe color casts, low contrast, and poor visibility.
