Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Oviduct morphology and estrogen receptors ERα and ERβ expression in captive Chinchilla lanigera (Hystricomorpha: Chinchillidae) [PDF]
Chinchilla lanigera is a hystricomorph rodent from South America whose reproductive biology presents particular characteristics that distinguishes it from other Rodentia species, such as low reproductive rate, seasonal breeding pattern, and long estrous ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Comparison of the long bone microstructure of two southern African marine birds, the Cape gannet (Morus capensis) and the African penguin (Spheniscus demersus) with respect to their aquatic adaptations [PDF]
The Cape gannet (Morus capensis) and the African penguin (Spheniscus demersus) have distinct aquatic adaptations for locomotion. The gannet, which is an efficient flying bird, uses both fore- and hind limbs to propel itself under water. On the other hand,

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Potential therapeutic effects of shrimp protein hydrolysates on NAFLD-induced infertility disorders: Insights into redox balance, heat shock protein expression, and chromatin compaction in male rats [PDF]
Objective(s): Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is known to disrupt testicular anti-oxidant capacity, leading to oxidative stress (OS) that can negatively affect male fertility by damaging sperm DNA.

Comparative outcomes of radiofrequency ablation for Barrett's oesophagus with different baseline histology. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is currently recommended for dysplastic Barrett's oesophagus (BO); however, there are limited data on treatment response when stratified by baseline histology.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Mitofusin 2 in Mature Adipocytes Controls Adiposity and Body Weight
Summary: We found that exposure of adult animals to calorie-dense foods rapidly abolished expression of mitofusin 2 (Mfn2), a gene promoting mitochondrial fusion and mitochondrion-endoplasmic reticulum interactions, in white and brown fat.
