Electronic Activation via Targeted Interface Engineering: Unlocking High‐Performance CO2 Electrolysis in Commercial Electrodes

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Interfacial charge transfer from LSC to PrO2 induces a local electric field and promotes oxygen vacancy formation, which together enhance CO2 adsorption, facilitate CO32− intermediate formation, and significantly boost the high‐temperature CO2 electrolysis performance of PrO2–LSC heterostructured electrodes.

A Co‐Deposition Approach for Self‐Assembled Molecules and Perovskites Achieving > 20% Efficiency in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Developing the π‐conjugation extended carbazole self‐assembled molecule, written as XS22, for efficient co‐deposited wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells. ABSTRACT Co‐deposited strategy of self‐assembled molecule (SAM) and perovskite could simplify the fabrication process as well as achieving the high‐performance solar cells.

Anchoring MoS2 Petal‐Like Nanosheets on Coal‐Based Carbon Nanofibers by Surface Bonding Enable Li+/Na+ Batteries to Achieve Fast‐Charging Capabilities

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The unique structure connected by CS and COS interfacial bonds accelerates the reaction kinetics of lithium/sodium‐ion storage, while the addition of coal led to an increase in the mechanical strength of the carbon nanofibers, which improved the conductivity and stability of the materials.

Electron‐Rich Para‐Methylpyridine‐Functionalized TEMPO Empowers Long‐Lived Neutral Aqueous Organic Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Three methylpyridine‐functionalized TEMPOs were synthesized through an electron‐rich regulation strategy. The calculation of transition states supported the highest reaction efficiency of para‐MePy‐TEMPOs, which outperformed its analogues to have the best performance of AORFBs, opening a new avenue for exploring TEMPO‐based catholytes.

Cooperativity in Dinuclear Complexes With Redox‐Active Guanidine Ligands Aligned in a Ring

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The introduction of designed organic linkers between two redox‐active diguanidine units induces cooperative effects in dinuclear metal complexes. In this work, the differences in the electronic structures of dinuclear cobalt and copper complexes with respect to the corresponding individual metal complexes are analyzed.

Mechanistic Understanding of Nickel Catalyzed Urea Oxidation Reaction to Cyanate and Nitrite

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
The urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is a promising alternative to oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for energy efficient hydrogen production, yet its reaction mechanism remains controversial because many proposed pathways have not been directly correlated with experimentally verified products and intermediates.

Craniofacial Resection for Advanced Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Results From the 2nd International Collaborative Case‐Series

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Robust outcome data for anterior skull base cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) are limited, particularly as emerging therapies reshape management. We evaluated survival and prognostic factors following craniofacial resection. Methods Retrospective multi‐institutional case‐series (1995–2015) of patients who underwent skull base

Remote Sensing for Irrigation Water Management—The State of the Art and Prospects for Near‐Future Operations

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A recent UN report describes many regions as facing ‘water bankruptcy,’ a condition in which available water resources can no longer meet existing demands. In practice, this means irrigation will likely bear the greatest burden of future water‐use reductions, a complicated and fraught decision to make given its critical role in food security ...
