Recognition of HLA-B27 and related antigen by a monoclonal antibody
Human Immunology, 1982A monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to HLA-B27, B7, and B22 is described. Binding to B27 appeared to be slightly stronger than to B7 and stronger than to B22 in an indirect binding assay, but no difference in B7 and B27 binding could be detected by Scatchard analysis.

[HLA-B27 antigen and alkaptonuria].
Revue du rhumatisme et des maladies osteo-articulaires, 1977Study of urinary homogentisic acid and a determinantion of group HLA were carried out for 36 members of a family spread over three generations with three cases of ochronotic rheumatism in the second generation. Alkaptonuria was discovered in seven other subjects, six of them members of the third generation: urinary elimination was poor, less than 0.60 ...

HLA-B27 antigen in women with ankylosing spondylitis.
JAMA, 1976Twenty-three (85.2%) of 27 female patients with ankylosing spondylitis were positive for HLA-B27 antigen, including 15 of 18 white women (83.3%) and eight of nine black women (88.9%). Ankylosing spondylitis in women appears to have the same high association with HLA-B27 antigen as that reported in predominantly male studies (88% to 96%).

Features of the course of anterior uveitis associated with HLA-B27 antigen
Vestnik oftal'mologii, 2019To perform comparative analysis of the frequency of various complications of anterior uveitis associated with HLA-B27 antigen in patients with and without spondyloarthritis.Retrospective analysis included 189 patients with anterior uveitis (AU) associated with histocompatibility antigen (HLA-B27).

Microbial antigens mediate HLA-B27 diseases via TLRs
Journal of Autoimmunity, 2009HLA-B27 positive individuals are predisposed to reactive arthritis developing 1-3 weeks after urogenital and gastrointestinal infections. Also ankylosing spondylitis (AS) associates strongly to HLA-B27, but no specific infection, Klebsiella pneumoniae excluded, has been linked to it.

HLA-B27 antigen and rheumatoid arthritis.
Acta medica Iugoslavica, 1991The influence of HLA-B27 antigen on clinical, radiological and laboratory features of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was studied. The group with B27 antigen comprised: 4 males and 20 females aged 28 to 71 and a group of patients free from B27 antigen consisted of 2 males and 21 females aged 26 to 69.

[HLA-B27w (weak HLA-B27)--another subtype of HLA-B27 antigen].
Vnitrni lekarstvi, 1994The authors describe another subtype of antigen HLA-B27, described as HLA-B27P3. It was assessed, using 5 anti-HLA-B27 sera. It is identical with the weak antigen HLA-B27(HLA-B27w) described by the author in 1976.

[Identification of HLA B27 antigen by flow cytometry].
Annales de biologie clinique, 1989Cytofluorograph analysis after immunofluorescence with monoclonal antibodies can be useful for various antigens identification on the surface of cell membrane. This technic is described for antigen HLA B27 identification. This HLA antigen is known indeed to be linked to rhumatismal diseases.
