HLA‐DR and monoclonal gammopathy

Tissue Antigens, 1982
The frequencies of the HLA‐DR antigens were compared in 3 groups: a group of 33 patients with multiple myeloma (MM) or Morbus Waldenström (MW); a group of 34 persons with benign monoclonal gammopathy (BMG); and a group of 118 healthy controls. No statistically significant associations were observed.

Crystallization of HLA-DR antigens

Research in Immunology, 1991
The class II major histocompatibility antigens HLA-DR1, DR2, DR3, DR4, DR7 and DR8 were purified by immunoaffinity chromatography from homozygous human B lymphoblastoid cell lines. The purified, detergent-soluble molecules were cleaved with the protease papain to remove the hydrophobic transmembrane regions and cytoplasmic tails. Crystals were obtained

HLA-DR and Renal Transplantation

1983
The serological detection of leukocyte antigens in man began some 20 years ago. Their subsequent recognition as histocompatibility antigens led to immediate interest in the possible application of leukocyte typing and matching to improve renal allograft survival.

HLA Dr Antigens in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, 1983
The prevalence and possible prognostic significance of HLA-DR antigens have been studied in 129 patients with seropositive (RF-positive) classical rheumatoid arthritis (RA). HLA-DR4 was increased in RA, whilst HLA-DR2 was decreased, though it was not associated with either low titres of RF or with good prognosis.

HLA‐DR generic typing by AFLP

Tissue Antigens, 1991
Abstract: We have described a practical and inexpensive method whereby any individual can be typed and assigned to any of the 14 generic HLA‐DR types: DR1, DRwl5, DRwl6, DRwl7, DRwl8, DR4, DRwll, DRwl2, DRwl3, DRwl4, DR7, DRw8, DR9 and DRw10. Previous methods to type these specificities include ‐ among others ‐ serology, conventional RFLP, PCR ...

HLA‐DR Antigen on Human Trophoblast*

American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 1983
ABSTRACT: To assess the presence of human leukocyte antigens (HLA) on first trimester human trophoblast cells, frozen sections of villous trophoblast and monolayer cultures of isolated cells from placental villi were prepared and exposed to a mouse monoclonal antibody directed against HLA‐DR and then incubated with fluorescein‐conjugated goat anti ...

HLA‐DR/RFLP compatible corneal grafts

Acta Ophthalmologica, 1991
Abstract. Fifty‐one elective high risk transplantations were matched according to HLA/DR antigens and RFLP‐subtypes. The 18 months survival of the grafts are 93% in the matched group compared to 50% in a non‐matched compatible historical control group.

HLA-DR antigens in gastric carcinoma

Immunology Letters, 1990
Serological HLA typing of 56 gastric carcinoma patients and 53 healthy controls was performed by the long two-stage microlymphocytotoxic test. There was a significantly increased frequency of DR3 antigen (P less than 0.01) in the patients compared to controls.

A possible new HLA-DR allele

Human Immunology, 1983
In routine screening of anti-HLA DR reagents, serum 901 was obtained from a woman of negroid origin ten days after delivery of a second child. The spouse was also of black origin. This serum contained polyspecific HLA A and B antibodies. After platelet absorption it reacted with the B cells of 10 out of 119 European Caucasoid panel donors (8.4%) typed ...
