HLA‐DR Antigen on Human Trophoblast*
American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 1983ABSTRACT: To assess the presence of human leukocyte antigens (HLA) on first trimester human trophoblast cells, frozen sections of villous trophoblast and monolayer cultures of isolated cells from placental villi were prepared and exposed to a mouse monoclonal antibody directed against HLA‐DR and then incubated with fluorescein‐conjugated goat anti ...

HLA‐DR/RFLP compatible corneal grafts
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1991Abstract. Fifty‐one elective high risk transplantations were matched according to HLA/DR antigens and RFLP‐subtypes. The 18 months survival of the grafts are 93% in the matched group compared to 50% in a non‐matched compatible historical control group.

HLA-DR antigens in gastric carcinoma
Immunology Letters, 1990Serological HLA typing of 56 gastric carcinoma patients and 53 healthy controls was performed by the long two-stage microlymphocytotoxic test. There was a significantly increased frequency of DR3 antigen (P less than 0.01) in the patients compared to controls.

In routine screening of anti-HLA DR reagents, serum 901 was obtained from a woman of negroid origin ten days after delivery of a second child. The spouse was also of black origin. This serum contained polyspecific HLA A and B antibodies. After platelet absorption it reacted with the B cells of 10 out of 119 European Caucasoid panel donors (8.4%) typed ...

HLA—DR Typing of Frozen B Lymphocytes
Tissue Antigens, 1979In the complement dependent lymphocytotoxic microtechnique it was found that antibody‐killed frozen B lymphocytes are sufficiently stained for reliable reading after 30 min of incubation with trypan blue, while the background of staining is only about 10%. During the next 30 min of incubation, however, the background of staining increases to about 30%,

Polymorphism and complexity of HLA-DR: evidence for intra-HLA-DR region crossing-over events
Immunogenetics, 1988HLA-DR molecules were isolated from HLA-DR3, -5, and -w6 positive homozygous B-cell lines by immunoprecipitation with monoclonal antibodies and analyzed by gel electrophoretic techniques. DNA isolated from the same cell lines was digested with the restriction enzyme Taq I and hybridized with a DR beta full-length cDNA probe.

Several common HLA-DR types share largely overlapping peptide binding repertoires.
Journal of Immunology, 1998The peptide binding specificities of HLA-DRB1*0401, DRB1*0101, and DRB1*0701 have been analyzed by the use of large collections of synthetic peptides corresponding to naturally occurring sequences.

A single antigen (SA) Luminex beads assay was used to detect antibody specificities of allosera and monoclonal antibodies. Potential antibody epitopes were mapped by comparing the protein sequence differences of a group of HLA alleles that are either recognized or unrecognized by tested samples.

Monoclonal antibodies to HLA-DR antigens
Immunology Today, 1984Monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) have been invaluable in the study of human MHC class-11 (or la-like) antigens. For this to continue some pooling of resources was needed and in 1982 the British Medical Research Council's Clinical and Population Cytogenetics Unit in Edinburgh initiated an information exchange scheme on anti-class-11 Mabs in an attempt to ...
