Crystallization of HLA-DR antigens
Research in Immunology, 1991The class II major histocompatibility antigens HLA-DR1, DR2, DR3, DR4, DR7 and DR8 were purified by immunoaffinity chromatography from homozygous human B lymphoblastoid cell lines. The purified, detergent-soluble molecules were cleaved with the protease papain to remove the hydrophobic transmembrane regions and cytoplasmic tails. Crystals were obtained

HLA‐DR Antigen on Human Trophoblast*
American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 1983ABSTRACT: To assess the presence of human leukocyte antigens (HLA) on first trimester human trophoblast cells, frozen sections of villous trophoblast and monolayer cultures of isolated cells from placental villi were prepared and exposed to a mouse monoclonal antibody directed against HLA‐DR and then incubated with fluorescein‐conjugated goat anti ...

HLA Dr Antigens in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, 1983The prevalence and possible prognostic significance of HLA-DR antigens have been studied in 129 patients with seropositive (RF-positive) classical rheumatoid arthritis (RA). HLA-DR4 was increased in RA, whilst HLA-DR2 was decreased, though it was not associated with either low titres of RF or with good prognosis.

HLA-DR antigens in gastric carcinoma
Immunology Letters, 1990Serological HLA typing of 56 gastric carcinoma patients and 53 healthy controls was performed by the long two-stage microlymphocytotoxic test. There was a significantly increased frequency of DR3 antigen (P less than 0.01) in the patients compared to controls.

Expression of HLA‐DR Antigens on Tlymphocytes
Tissue Antigens, 1980Our data have demonstrated, for the first time, expression of HLA‐DR antigens on heated T cells (45*C, 1 h) and have confirmed the occurrence of these antigens on mitogen‐stimulated T cells.HLA‐DR antigens were detected by microlymphocytotoxicity employing defined and non‐defined anti‐HLA‐DR sera. The HLA‐DR T cell antigens proved to be the same as the

Monoclonal antibodies to HLA-DR antigens
Immunology Today, 1984Monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) have been invaluable in the study of human MHC class-11 (or la-like) antigens. For this to continue some pooling of resources was needed and in 1982 the British Medical Research Council's Clinical and Population Cytogenetics Unit in Edinburgh initiated an information exchange scheme on anti-class-11 Mabs in an attempt to ...

Monocytic HLA DR antigens in schizophrenic patients
Neuroscience Research, 2012A genetic association of specific human leukocyte antigens (HLA) DR genes and schizophrenia has recently been shown. These HLA play a fundamental role in the control of immune responses. Furthermore infectious agents have been proposed to be involved in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia.

HLA-DR antigens in Chinese-American families
Human Immunology, 1982This paper contains results of a study on HLA-DR antigens in Chinese-American families. DR2, DR4, DRw9, and DRw6Y were the most common DR specificities encountered, and DR1 occurred with the lowest frequency. All recognized DR antigens were observed. The frequency of a blank allele was 6.4-12.8%.

HLA‐DR Antigens in Pemphigus among Japanese
Tissue Antigens, 1981The frequency of HLA‐DR4 was significantly increased at P < 0.02 in 37 unrelated pemphigus patients (62.2%), when compared with unrelated 73 healthy controls (30.1%). This antigen was more frequently found in pemphigus foliaceus (70.6%) than pemphigus vulgaris (55.8%).
