HLA‐DR, DQ antigens in North American Caucasians

Tissue Antigens, 1990
Abstract: : HLA‐DR,DQ specificities are determined by serological methods in 2,586 North American Caucasians. Antigen frequency, gene frequency and haplotype frequency are computed for each phenotype observed. The DR. and DQ loci antigen distributions are well‐fitted to a Hardy‐Weinberg equilibrium (p>0.25 for DR locus, p>0.10 for DQ locus). All

[HLA-DR antigens and leukemias].

Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1994
In 79 leukaemic subjects (42 with acute leukaemia, 37 with chronic myelosis) the authors assessed HLA-DR antigens 1-5.7 and their frequency. As compared with a group of 130 healthy subjects, no significant difference was found. The results do not support a possible relationship of HLA-DR antigens and leukaemia.

HLA-DR Antigen Expression and Autoimmunity

1986
Products of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) of genes play several key roles in the autoimmune response. Besides being predominantly responsible for the rejection of tissue grafts and graft-versus-host reactions, molecules encoded by MHC genes are directly involved in the recognition of antigen by T-cells.

Schizophrenic disorders and HLA-DR antigens.

Biological psychiatry, 1984
HLA-A, -B, and -DR antigens, including supertypic specificities (MT antigens), were studied in Japanese schizophrenic patients. Although frequencies of HLA-A, -B, and MT antigens did not differ significantly between the schizophrenic patients and controls, the frequency of DRw8 in DR locus showed a statistically significant increase in the patients ...

HLA-DR antigens in children with mumps meningitis.

Archivum immunologiae et therapiae experimentalis, 1992
The frequency of HLA-DR antigens was studied in 54 patients with mumps meningitis, and in two control groups. The first control group comprised 333 randomly chosen subjects while the second group was composed of 46 subjects who have passed mumps without meningitis.
