Metrnβ drives sepsis immunosuppression via macrophage reprogramming: A novel prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Metrnβ serves as a novel prognostic biomarker for sepsis and that targeted blockade of the Metrnβ‐c‐Kit axis represents a promising therapeutic strategy for sepsis. Abstract Sepsis is a heterogeneous syndrome critically driven by immunosuppression, yet lacking personalized prognostic markers and therapeutic targets. Here, we provide evidence to support

Single‐Cell Profiling Identifies CLEC5A+ Macrophages as Key Drivers of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Via CCL5‐Mediated M1 Polarization

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA) is a life‐threatening cardiovascular disease with limited therapeutic options. Through single‐cell RNA sequencing of aortic tissues from healthy individuals and TAA patients (105,541 cells), we identified CLEC5A+macrophages as the predominant pathogenic cell population exhibiting the highest M1 polarization score. Machine

Hematological Inflammation Indices Are Associated With Active Uveitis in Ankylosing Spondylitis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Hematological inflammation indices reflect the systemic inflammatory burden in ankylosing spondylitis. Patients with active uveitis exhibit a distinct pro‐inflammatory profile characterised by increased NLR, PLR, SII, SIRI, and AISI, along with decreased HALP and CALLY scores.

A Practical and Efficient Multiplex qPCR Assay for Simultaneous Detection of HLA Cross‐Reactive Groups and Human Platelet Antigens

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This assay enables multiplex genotyping of HLA‐CREGs and HPA alleles from whole blood using qPCR with an integrated parallel negative control. Results are interpreted based on amplification curves and Ct values, with validity dependent on strict quality control criteria for both the target reactions and the negative control.

Heterogeneous outcomes in pediatric potential celiac disease: A multicenter longitudinal study

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Potential celiac disease (PCD) is defined by positive celiac serology without villous atrophy. We aimed to study the outcome of children with PCD consuming a gluten‐containing diet (GCD) over time. Methods Children diagnosed with PCD between December 2018 and January 2022, in three pediatric gastroenterology centers, were ...
