Antigen Report: HLA-Bw70, HLA-Bw71, and HLA-Bw72
1984The antigens Bu (= Bw71) and SV (= Bw72) were originally identified in 1977 in English and Dutch populations [1, 2]. Both were recognised as low-frequency Bw6-associated antigens included in the tail of some multispecific sera defining the B5, 35, 18, 15, 21 (7b) cross-reactive group. A two-centre collaborative study established that Bu and SV were two

Antigen Report: HLA-Bw54, HLA-Bw55, and HLA-Bw56
1984Heterogeneity of the antigen Bw22 has been reported at the previous Workshops and was confirmed in different populations by many investigators.

Association of HLA-Ib (HLA-G, HLA-E and HLA-F) with spontaneous HBV clearance
Infectious DiseasesThe natural history of HBV infection is highly heterogeneous. Failure to clear the virus during the acute phase of infection allows for viral persistence and progression to chronicity. Investigating the immune mechanisms involved in this process is crucial for effectively managing infection outcome.

Both HLA-DR and HLA-DQ determinants contribute to HLA-Dw typing
Human Immunology, 1987The respective contribution of HLA-DR and HLA-DQ gene products in the induction of allogeneic proliferative responses in primary mixed lymphocyte reaction and, therefore, in HLA-Dw typing, is still unclear or controversial. This is in part due to a strong linkage disequilibrium between HLA-DR and -DQ genes.

Aim. Analyze the distribution of allelic polymorphism of HLA-DRB1, DQA1, DQB1 genes and HLA-G 14-bp insertion/deletion polymorphism in women with RPL. Methods. DNA extraction, PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis. Results. A comprehensive analysis of the distribution and frequency of allelic variants of genes HLA-DRB1, HLA- DQA1, HLA-DQB1 and HLA-G 14 bp ...

HLA typing in 1979 is more complex and more complete than in former years. The distribution of antigens in the HLA system and various methods of identifying them and of determining their structure and function are described. The usefulness of HLA typing in organ transplantation and paternity testing has been well established, and its place in blood ...
