HL‐A Immunization and HL‐A Types in Pregnancy
Tissue Antigens, 1972A total of 199 pregnant women with lymphocytotoxic antibodies in their sera were HL‐A typed and the specificities of their antibodies were investigated by extensive panel investigations. A tentative classification of related HL‐A antigens was based on (1) the non‐random distributions of positive and negative deviations from Hardy‐Weinberg equilibrium ...

THE HL-A system of leucocyte antigens and the ABH red cell groups are believed to be important histocompatibility factors in man1 and can be detected on leucocytes, platelets and most other tissues2. Although A1 and B antigens have been demonstrated on leucocytes, attempts to detect HL-A specificities on red cells have so far failed3.

An Association of HL‐A3 and HL‐A7 with Paralytic Poliomyelitis
Tissue Antigens, 1974The frequency of 22 HL‐A antigens in 111 patients who had had paralytic poliomyelitis in past epidemics was compared to the frequency of the same antigens in 395 blood donors. There was a significant increase of HL‐A3 and HL‐A7 in the polio patients (P < 0.02, P < 0.002, respectively, after the application of a correction factor for the number of
