In anaerobic bacteria, tyrosine serves as an electron donor in the oxidative Stickland fermentation branch, generating p‐hydroxyphenylacetate, ATP and reduced ferredoxin for decarboxylation into p‐cresol. ABSTRACT The phenolic metabolite p‐cresol is a byproduct of tyrosine fermentation by certain strictly anaerobic bacteria, including the human gut ...

Adaptive Macroscopic Ensemble Allocation for Robot Teams Monitoring Spatiotemporal Processes
We propose an online, environment feedback‐driven macroscopic ensemble approach to adapt robot team task allocation in spatiotemporal environments by controlling robot populations rather than assigning individual robots, all while maintaining robust team performance even for small teams. Our simulation and experimental results show better or comparable

HD-tDCS of primary and higher-order motor cortex affects action word processing
The contribution of action-perception systems of the brain to lexical semantics remains controversial. Here, we used high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) in healthy adults to examine the role of primary (left hand motor area;

ABSTRACT In a large multicenter real‐world cohort, we aimed to evaluate outcomes of FLAG‐Ida salvage therapy for relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and validated the SALFLAGE prognostic score. We analyzed 1079 adults with R/R AML treated across 112 PETHEMA institutions over 26 years (1998–2024), including patients with primary ...

THE EFFECT OF SBR LATEX AND WARM MIX AGENT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF DRY AND WET ASPHALT MIXTURES
Moisture damage has been identified as one of the most common causes of distress in asphalt mixes. The attachment between bitumen aggregate components deteriorates when water interacts at the interface, causing the binder to be stripped from the exterior

HMA Pavement Performance and Durability
It has long been argued that at densities higher than approximately 92 percent (air void contents lower than 8 percent), a hotmix asphalt mixture is impermeable to water. However, as densities become lower (air void contents higher) than this, small decreases in the density can yield exponential increases in permeability.
