Long-Range Communication between the Silencers of HMR [PDF]
Gene regulation involves long-range communication between silencers, enhancers, and promoters. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, silencers flank transcriptionally repressed genes to mediate regional silencing. Silencers recruit the Sir proteins, which then spread along chromatin to encompass the entire silenced domain.

In Vitro Pharmacodynamic Studies of Activities of Ketolides HMR 3647 (Telithromycin) and HMR 3004 against Extracellular or Intracellular Helicobacter pylori [PDF]
ABSTRACT The pharmacodynamic properties of the ketolides HMR 3647 (telithromycin) and HMR 3004 were studied against Helicobacter pylori . Both ketolides showed a pronounced concentration-dependent killing, a significant postantibiotic effect, a long postantibiotic sub-MIC effect, and a reduction of ...

End-to-end Recovery of Human Shape and Pose
We describe Human Mesh Recovery (HMR), an end-to-end framework for reconstructing a full 3D mesh of a human body from a single RGB image. In contrast to most current methods that compute 2D or 3D joint locations, we produce a richer and more useful mesh ...

Ecological Adaptation Mechanisms Underlying Successful Plant Reproduction
During floral induction, various environmental and endogenous signals converge to regulate the florigen protein, which is transported from leaves to the SAM to initiate flowering. Within the SAM, a complex network of receptor kinases and small peptides orchestrates floral development with high spatiotemporal precision.

Oxygen substitution in NaTaOxCl6‐2x drives structural evolution from isolated [TaCl6]– octahedra, through oxygen‐bridged [Ta2OCl10]2– dimers, toward extended trans‐[TaO2Cl4]3– chain‐like arrangements. At intermediate compositions, zero‐dimensional corner‐sharing motifs are proposed to create a flexible, disordered framework that peaks ionic ...

RAD4 and RAD23/HMR Contribute to Arabidopsis UV Tolerance [PDF]
In plants, exposure to solar ultraviolet (UV) light is unavoidable, resulting in DNA damage. Damaged DNA causes mutations, replication arrest, and cell death, thus efficient repair of the damaged DNA is essential. A light-independent DNA repair pathway called nucleotide excision repair (NER) is conserved throughout evolution.

Pharmacogenomic (PGx) information has the potential to support the safe and effective use of medicines, yet there is uncertainty about how this information can be best communicated to patients. Summaries of product characteristics (SmPCs) and patient information leaflets (PILs) for all UK‐approved medicines with strong evidence supporting a PGx ...
