Competition Policy and Agribusiness in the Biden Administration
ABSTRACT The Biden Administration pursued a set of ambitious competition policy initiatives in agriculture and agribusiness, primarily aimed at livestock and poultry supply chains, farm inputs, and food retailing. The initiatives included expanded antitrust enforcement; new US Department of Agriculture (USDA) contract regulations requiring poultry ...

This work proposes RT‐DETR‐DA, an enhanced real‐time detection framework for identifying distracted driving in complex, real‐world environments. The model introduces a dynamic sparse gating multiscale attention module and an attention‐guided dual‐path fusion module to strengthen multiscale perception and cross‐layer feature interaction.

Study on ultimate strength of ship’s hull considering cross section and beam finite element.
The objective of the present research is to study the ultimate strength of ship’s hull considering cross section and beam finite element under longitudinal bending. The single hull bulk carrier and double hull oil tanker are taken to be analysed. The one-

Steel model test on structural strength of ship superstructure underoverall longitudinal bending
ObjectivesThe superstructure participates in the overall longitudinal bending of a ship, which leads to stress concentration in certain parts and threatens the safety of the ship's structure.

Experimental study and numerical analysis of progressive collapse resistance of composite frames [PDF]
A partial damage caused by an abnormal load could trigger progressive collapse of high rise buildings which may lead to terrible casualties. However, in the process of column failure, "catenary action" plays an important role in redistributing the ...

Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of

Global wave loads on a damaged ship [PDF]
A computational tool was applied based on a two dimensional linear method to predict the hydrodynamic loads for damaged ships. Experimental tests on a ship model have also been carried out to predict the hydrodynamic loads in various design conditions ...

Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.

Time-Varying Evolution Behaviors of Steel–Concrete Composite Girders with Differentiated Connectors
To improve the cracking resistance of a concrete slab in the hogging moment region, a new concept called uplift-restricted and slip-permitted (URSP) connection technology has been proposed.

Analytical study on the influence of distributed beam vertical loading on seismic response of frame structures [PDF]
Typically, beams that form part of structural systems are subjected to vertical distributed loading along their length. Distributed loading affects moment and shear distribution, and consequently spread of inelasticity, along the beam length.
