Hole dynamics and effective hole-hole interaction in a quantum antiferromagnet [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 1991

Experimental study on Brazilian splitting of phyllite under the coupling effects of water, pore and bedding

open access: yesRock and Soil Mechanics, 2021
Phylite is widely distributed in southwest of China. Factors such as groundwater, bedding, micro-pores and micro-cracks will weaken its mechanical properties to some extent, thus posing severe challenges to the stability of the related projects ...

Rotating “black holes” with holes in the horizon [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2006
Kerr-Schild solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell field equations, containing semi-infinite axial singular lines, are investigated. It is shown that axial singularities break up the black hole, forming holes in the horizon. As a result, a tube-like region appears which allows matter to escape from the interior without crossing the horizon.

Improving the Performance of SIW-based Leaky Wave Antenna using the Creation of an Entrance Hole [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research and Technology in Electrical Industry
In this paper, the effect of input holes on the performance of leaky wave antennas(LWA) is investigated by presenting two designs based on the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) structure.

Energy transfer of intrinsic electronic excitation to impurities in the CaSO4 − Mn crystal

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials, 2021
The nature of the impurity emission center and the energy transfer mechanisms from intrinsic electronic excitations to the Mn2+ impurity centers in the CaSO4 − Mn crystal have been investigated.

Deformability and Stability of Rectangular Sandwich Panels with Cuts under In-Plane Loading

open access: yesArchitecture and Engineering, 2016
In this work the method of defining the critical load for rectangular sandwich panels having within themselves definite length cuts in a direction parallel with one of their sides is described.

Determination the residual stresses in the surface layer of gas turbine engine parts by small hole drilling [PDF]

open access: yesМеталознавство та обробка металів, 2020
A methodology for measuring residual stresses based on drilling small diameter holes with subsequent fixation of deformation using a strain gauge as applied to thin-walled complex parts of gas turbine engines has been presented. It is known that the bulk

Dirty Black Holes and Hairy Black Holes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1996
An approach based on considerations of the non-classical energy momentum tensor outside the event horizon of a black hole provides additional physical insight into the nature of discrete quantum hair on black holes and its effect on black hole temperature. Our analysis both extends previous work based on the Euclidean action techniques, and corrects an
