MeV irradiation of tungsten nanowires: structural modifications
In this work we use the Two Temperature Model coupled to Molecular Dynamics (TTM-MD) to study swift heavy ion irradiation of W finite nanowires. Au projectiles are considered with energies ranging from 20 to 50 MeV, which correspond to electronic ...

Hole pairs in a spin liquid: Influence of electrostatic hole-hole repulsion [PDF]
The stability of hole bound states in the t-J model including short-range Coulomb interactions is analyzed using computational techniques on ladders with up to $2 \times 30$ sites. For a nearest-neighbors (NN) hole-hole repulsion, the two-holes bound state is surprisingly robust and breaks only when the repulsion is several times the exchange $J$. At $\

We study the semiclassical spectrum of excitations around a long spinning string in AdS_3. In addition to the usual small fluctuations, we find the spectrum contains a branch of solitonic excitations of finite energy. We determine the dispersion relation for these excitations. This has a relativistic form at low energies but also matches the dispersion

L'île en tant qu'elle est un trou
As heterotopia, the hole and the island are connected, because they are a switch of time and space. Beyond the anecdote, we show that the hole constitutes and organizes the island in many ways. How does the hole allow or change insularity?

Image of Shamanic Cosmos in Cyprus Turkish Folktales / Kıbrıs Türk Masallarında Şamanistik Evren Tasavvuru [PDF]
From mythology to celestial religions, cosmos is conceived of three parts. These are the sky where good gods are in, the earth where people live in and the underworld where bad gods and spirits are in. The sky is made up seven, nine or seventeen layers
