Maskless imaging of dense samples using pixel super-resolution based multi-height lensfree on-chip microscopy. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Lensfree in-line holographic microscopy offers sub-micron resolution over a large field-of-view (e.g., ~24 mm2) with a cost-effective and compact design suitable for field use. However, it is limited to relatively low-density samples.

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Aberration‐Corrected Holographic Optical Elements Based on Consistent Shapes of Printed Hogels

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
Herein, a holographic optical element (HOE) printing technique which maintains shapes and sizes of hogels across diverse focal positions, and aberration‐corrected HOEs which are fabricated by it are proposed. The proposed HOE printer employs nonpixelated

Three-dimensionally reconfigurable focusing of laser by mechanically tunable metalens doublet with built-in holograms for alignment

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
Metalenses have potential to replace various bulky conventional optical elements with ultrathin nanostructure arrays. In particular, active metalenses with reconfigurable focusing capability have attracted considerable interest from the academic and ...

Displaying real 3-D object images using a computer-generated hologram : a thesis presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Computer Science at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The magic of an optical hologram that produced by optical system offer us a never ending sense of wonderment. The images reconstructed from an optical hologram exhibit all of the three dimensional properties with full, rich perspective effects, enabling ...

Effects of misalignments in the optical vortex transformation performed by holograms with embedded phase singularity

open access: yes, 2010
Spatial characteristics of diffracted beams produced by a "fork" hologram from an incident circular Laguerre-Gaussian beam whose axis differ from the hologram optical axis are studied theoretically.

Meniscus Pixel Printing for Contact‐Lens Vision Sensing and Robotic Control

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A visual‐sensing contact lens is enabled by meniscus pixel printing (MPP), which rapidly patterns a 200 µm perovskite photodetector pixel in 1 s without masks, vacuum processing, or bulky equipment. A deep‐learning‐based super‐resolution reconstructs sparse on‐lens signals into 80 × 80 high‐resolution visual information, while AI‐driven eye‐tracking ...

Practical algorithms for simulation and reconstruction of digital in-line holograms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Here we present practical methods for simulation and reconstruction of in-line digital holograms recorded with plane and spherical waves. The algorithms described here are applicable to holographic imaging of an object exhibiting absorption as well as ...

Critical Role of Polymer Gate Dielectrics on the Charge Carrier Transport in Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Charge transport in 2D tin perovskite FETs is shown to be governed by dielectric interface behavior. Polar polymer dielectrics induce dipolar disorder that localizes carriers, whereas nonpolar polymers suppress trapping and enable superior charge transport, ensuring stable and reliable transistor operation. ABSTRACT Understanding the role of interfaces
