Trauma and affect in a Holocaust survivor's story: Rosita Fanto's novel Rozalia Alone

open access: yesOrbis Litterarum, EarlyView.
Abstract My article endeavors to redress the neglect of Rosita Fanto's Rozalia Alone (2010), which deals with a page of history that is less known worldwide, the Holocaust in Romania. Using a trauma studies perspective that mixes with affect theory, the article demonstrates that Rozalia Alone covers in a nutshell the whole magnitude of the late 1930s ...

Replay of digitally-recorded holograms using a computational grid

open access: yes, 2009
Since the calculations are independent, each plane within an in-line digital hologram of a particle field can be reconstructed by a separate computer. We investigate strategies to reproduce a complete sample volume as quickly and efficiently as possible ...

Non-iterative 3D computer-generated hologram based on single full-support optimized random phase and phase compensation

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
The main problem faced by traditional three-dimensional (3D) holographic displays is the time-consuming and poor flexibility of the hologram generation process.

Combining the Underwater Vision Profiler 6 with sediment traps to measure in situ velocity of marine particles

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, Volume 24, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Particles sinking from the surface to the deep ocean play a key role in the biological carbon pump, whose efficiency depends partly on sinking velocities. Over the last decade, in situ imaging has enabled critical advances in our understanding of particle dynamics in the ocean.

Emergent Chaos‐Like Dynamics of Spin–Orbit‐Torque‐Driven Magnetic Transitions

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 37, 2 July 2026.
By combining anisotropy‐engineered nanometer‐scale nucleation sites with time‐resolved x‐ray holography and micromagnetic modeling, magnetization dynamics are directly imaged, revealing chaos‐like fluctuations and skyrmion shedding and highlighting the intrinsic complexity of spin‐orbit torque driven systems.

Influence of Intense Internal Waves Traveling Along an Acoustic Path on Source Holographic Reconstruction in Shallow Water

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This paper studies how intense internal waves (IIWs) affect the holographic reconstruction of the sound field generated by a moving source in a shallow-water environment.

Dynamic Holographic Display With Multiplexed Dielectric Metasurfaces

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 12, 25 June 2026.
Based on multiplexed metasurfaces, we show hybrid multiplexing of polarization, wavelength, and orbital angular momentum can be applied for dynamic tuning. Our strategy presents a highly compact and efficient solution for high‐capacity, multi‐dimensional holography, with promising applications in advanced displays, data storage, optical encryption, and
