Optical Reconstruction of Computer-Generated Holograms [PDF]
Computer-generated holograms are used as optical elements in optical setups. This chapter analyses how methods of generating, encoding and recording computer-generated hologram affect the results of their optical reconstruction.

H2HSR: Hologram-to-Hologram Super-Resolution With Deep Neural Network
In holography, the resolution of the hologram significantly impacts both display size and angle-of-view, yet achieving high-resolution holograms presents formidable challenges, whether in capturing real-world holograms or in the computational demands of ...

Improving the quality of light-field data extracted from a hologram using deep learning
We propose a method to suppress the speckle noise and blur effects of the light field extracted from a hologram using a deep-learning technique. The light field can be extracted by bandpass filtering in the hologram's frequency domain.

A Deep Learning Framework for Multi-Plane Computer-Generated Holography
Multi-plane computer-generated holography is a key technology for enabling volumetric and near-eye displays. However, its widespread adoption remains constrained by the high computational cost of phase optimization and the persistent issue of axial ...

Dynamic holographic storage in lithium niobate [PDF]
A program was undertaken to improve the optical recording properties of LiNbO3 for holographic optical memory application. Iron, copper, and manganese doping were all found to increase the optical sensitivity of LiNbO3.

Improving reconstructions of digital holograms
Digital holography is a two step process of recording a hologram on an electronic sensor and reconstructing it numerically. This thesis makes a number of contributions to the second step of this process. These can be split into two distinct parts: A) speckle reduction in reconstructions of digital holograms (DHs), and B) modeling and overcoming partial
