Diffractive Optical Elements with a Large Angle of Operation Recorded in Acrylamide Based Photopolymer on Flexible Substrates

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, 2014
A holographic device characterised by a large angular range of operation is under development. The aim of this study is to increase the angular working range of the diffractive lens by stacking three layers of high efficiency optical elements on top of ...

Optical schemes of spectrographs with a diffractive optical element in a converging beam [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2015
Optical schemes of spectrographs based on transmission concave holographic gratings working in converging beams are considered. General description of the design techniques are provided. Each of them is supported by a certain example with calculation and

An Augmented Reality Head-Up Display System with a Wide-View Eyebox

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, 2020
This study proposes to apply the combination of two 90-degree prisms and a holographic optical element to an image-dividing element, divide an image into three through the virtual image projection system, and accurately project the images to 160 cm ...

Verification of an Accommodative Response for Depth Measurement of Floating Hologram Using a Holographic Optical Element

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Floating holograms using holographic optical element screens differ from existing systems because they can float 2D images in the air and provide a sense of depth.

Monomer diffusion rates in photopolymer material. Part I. Low spatial frequency holographic gratings

open access: yes, 2011
For photopolymers, knowing the rate of diffusion of the active monomer is important when modeling the material evolution during recording in order to understand and optimize their performance.

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Invisible Polymer Walls Enhance Reorientational Optical Nonlinearity in Oligothiophene‐Doped Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer wall stabilized dye‐doped liquid crystals (PWLCs) enhance the sensitivity of photoinduced molecular reorientation in dye‐doped LC systems. The PWLC with an invisible polymer wall successfully reduces the threshold intensity and functions as an optical limiter under the incidence of low intensity light laser source.

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Identification of Behavioral Features of Bridge Structure Based on Static Image Sequences

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
This paper aims to further enhance the accuracy and efficiency of large bridge structural health monitoring (SHM) through noncontact remote sensing (NRS). For these purposes, the authors put forward an intelligent NRS method that collects the holographic
