Inside the Microreactor: In Situ Real‐Time Observation of Vapor–Liquid–Solid Growth of Monolayer TMDCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In situ observation of VLS growth in a confined microreactor reveals various growth modes of monolayer TMDCs, including abnormal ribbon growth and particle‐driven growth. The confined space and precursor balance influence droplet behavior and growth dynamics, offering new insights into the controlled synthesis of TMDCs via the VLS mechanism.

From virtual demonstration to real-world manipulation using LSTM and MDN

open access: yes, 2017
Robots assisting the disabled or elderly must perform complex manipulation tasks and must adapt to the home environment and preferences of their user. Learning from demonstration is a promising choice, that would allow the non-technical user to teach the

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

Voice of the diaspora: An analysis of migrant voting behavior [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper utilizes a unique dataset on votes cast by Czech and Polish migrants in recent national elections in their home countries. The political preferences of migrants as manifested by their voting behavior are strikingly different from those of ...

A Non‐Mitophagy Activity of BNIP3L/NIX in Amygdala Glutamatergic Neurons is Essential for Contextual Fear Memory Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Contextual fear conditioning induces BNIP3L‐dependent mitochondrial fission in glutamatergic neurons of the BLA, independently of mitophagy. Loss of BNIP3L elevates Drp1Ser637 phosphorylation, thereby suppressing mitochondrial fission, compromising ATP production, and attenuating excitatory synaptic transmission.

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.
