Toward Prostate Cancer Early Warning with a Self‐Powered Wearable Biosensing Platform Integrated with Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current prostate cancer detection methods remain limited in non‐invasiveness and specificity, prompting interest in urinary biomarkers such as sarcosine. Here, we report a urine‐powered wearable platform for non‐invasive sarcosine detection as a proof‐of‐concept for decentralized early warning.

Integrated Optimal Sizing and Dispatch Strategy for Microgrids Using HOMER Pro

2021 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference - Latin America (ISGT Latin America), 2021
This paper presents a methodology for sizing and operating microgrids using an energy management system (EMS) strategy embedded in the software HOMER Pro. The proposed EMS-based strategy, represented by a mixed-integer linear model, determines the optimal day-ahead operation of a grid-connected microgrid, which considers photovoltaic generation ...
