AbstractHomogenization of deterministic control problems with L∞ running cost is studied by viscosity solutions techniques. It is proved that the value function of an L∞ problem in a medium with a periodic micro-structure converges uniformly on the compact sets to the value function of the homogenized problem as the period shrinks to 0.

Robustness of homogeneous and locally homogeneous differential inclusions [PDF]
The paper proposes constructive conditions for verification of input-to-state stability property for discontinuous systems using geometric homogeneity. Two sets of conditions are developed: for a class of homogeneous and locally homogeneous systems described by differential inclusions. The advantage of the proposed conditions is that they are not based

Adverse prognosis gene expression patterns in metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer
We aggregated a cohort of 1012 mCRPC tissue samples from 769 patients and investigated the association of gene expression‐based pathways with clinical outcomes. Loss of AR signaling, high proliferation, and a glycolytic phenotype were independently prognostic for poor outcomes, and an adverse transcriptional feature score incorporating these pathways ...

AbstractA bounded linear operator T on a complex Hilbert space is called homogeneous if the spectrum of T is contained in the closed unit disc and all bi-holomorphic automorphisms of this disc lift to automorphisms of the operator modulo unitary equivalence. We prove that all the irreducible homogeneous operators are block shifts. Therefore, as a first

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

An ultrasound-promoted green approach for the synthesis of 3-(indol-3-yl)-3-hydroxyindolin-2-ones catalyzed by Fe(III) [PDF]
Ferric chloride hexahydrate was used as a recyclable homogeneous catalyst in aqueous media for the synthesis of 3-(indol-3-yl)-3-hydroxyindolin-2-ones under sonication.

Universal homogeneous causal sets
Causal sets are particular partially ordered sets which have been proposed as a basic model for discrete space-time in quantum gravity. We show that the class C of all countable past-finite causal sets contains a unique causal set (U,

We provide a step‐by‐step guide for producing E140 antigen fragments from Plasmodium berghei (Pb1) and Plasmodium vivax (Pv1). Pb1/Pv1 are expressed in E. coli, solubilized by freeze–thawing, refolded by slow dilution, purified by affinity chromatography (IMAC), then concentrated and subjected to quality control.

Osimertinib reduces angiogenesis and PDL1 expression in in ovo tumors, transforming them into ‘cold tumors’ with lower immune activity. Anatomopathological and transcriptomic analyses highlight its therapeutic impact on tumor biology. This study underscores osimertinib's potential to reshape the tumor microenvironment and provides insights into its ...

Distributed energy efficient unequal clustering algorithm for wireless sensor networks
A distributed energy-efficient unequal clustering (DEEUC) algorithm was proposed for wireless sensor net-works by research current routing algorithms. The core of DEEUC has three parts. Firstly, when tentative clusterheads are selected, an average energy
