This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Generalized homogeneity and weakly Klebanov spaces
Abstract It is shown that three results of A.V. Arhangel'skii for homogeneous spaces (see [2] ) hold for co -homogeneous spaces. For instance, if a co -homogeneous space X contains a G δ -dense weakly Klebanov subspace, then X is weakly Klebanov.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...

The operators of rotoids in homogeneous spaces or generalized ordered spaces
Rotoids are generalizations of topological groups: a rotoid is a space \(X\), together with a homeomorphism \(H:X^2\to X^2\) and a special point~\(e\) in~\(X\) such that \(H(x,x)=(x,e)\) and \(H(e,x)=(e,x)\) for all~\(x\). In a topological group the map \((x,y)\mapsto(x,xy^{-1})\) serves this purpose.

Minimal surfaces and surfaces of constant mean curvature in homogeneous spaces [PDF]
We give a classification of surfaces of constant mean curvature in homogeneous 3-manifolds, which are invariant under rotational screw motions. These surfaces are natural generalizations of the well-known Delaunay surfaces.

The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...
