Homologous non-isotopic symplectic tori in a K3-surface

open access: yes, 2003
For each member of an infinite family of homology classes in the K3-surface E(2), we construct infinitely many non-isotopic symplectic tori representing this homology class. This family has an infinite subset of primitive classes.

Genetic Requirements for Intra-Chromosomal Deletions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Chromosomal deletions are one of the most dangerous types of DNA damage and often arise as a result of inappropriately repaired DNA double strand breaks (DSB).

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Drug resistance and molecular typing characteristics of Klebsiella pneumoniae in meat food and diarrhea samples in a local area

open access: yesShanghai yufang yixue
ObjectiveTo determine the drug sensitivity and molecular typing characteristics of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from meat and diarrhea samples in a local area.MethodsSeventy-one strains of K.pneumoniae were isolated from 118 meat food (chicken and pork)

On homological duality

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 1976
AbstractDuality relations given in terms of natural isomorphisms TorRn−j(D, -)→∼ExtjR(C, -) are shown to be related with a straightforward generalization of the operation of taking the dual HomR(P, R) of a finitely generated projective module P. The obtained results allow to characterize duality groups (in the sense of Bieri-Eckmann) and inverse ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Human versus Rat PRF on Collagen Membranes: A Pilot Study of Mineralization in Rat Calvaria Defect Model

open access: yesBioengineering
Platelet-rich fibrin, the coagulated plasma fraction of blood, is commonly used to support natural healing in clinical applications. The rat calvaria defect is a standardized model to study bone regeneration.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.
