Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Genetic Requirements for Intra-Chromosomal Deletions [PDF]
Chromosomal deletions are one of the most dangerous types of DNA damage and often arise as a result of inappropriately repaired DNA double strand breaks (DSB).

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

High homologous gene conservation despite extreme autopolyploid redundancy in sugarcane [PDF]
Modern sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) has been recognized as one of the world's most efficient crops in solar energy conversion and as havlng the mast favorable input: output ratios. Beside ils importance for sugar production, ilthus became recently aprimary

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Following multi-dimensional Type Ia supernova explosion models to homologous expansion
The last years have witnessed a rapid development of three-dimensional models of Type Ia supernova explosions. Consequently, the next step is to evaluate these models under variation of the initial parameters and to compare them with observations.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
