Comparison of Fuggle hops with low and normal seed contents has shown that “seedless” hops had α acid contents approximately 20% higher than seeded hops. There was no corresponding increase in β resin content. The mature “seedless” hops had almost twice as much essential oil as the mature seeded hops.
