Model of traveling ionospheric disturbances

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate, 2013
A multiscale semi-empirical model of traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs) is developed. The model is based on the following assumptions: (1) TIDs are generated by acoustic-gravity waves (AGWs) and propagate as pressure waves; (2) time intervals ...

Ionospheric disturbances associated with the 2015 M7.8 Nepal earthquake

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2017
Based on the total electron content (TEC) derived from Global Positioning System (GPS) observations of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONOC) and the Global Ionosphere Map (GIM) from the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe (CODE),

The Spatiotemporal Genetic Architecture of Seed Vigor in Upland Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Leveraging the semi‐automated SeedRanger platform, we profiled the germination kinetics of 356 cotton accessions at a 30‐min interval. This high‐throughput phenomic approach delineated a temporal genetic network comprising 541 stage‐specific loci. Crucially, functional validation identified FLA2 as a pivotal, auxin‐modulated regulator that orchestrates

On the possibility of wave-induced chaos in a sheared, stably stratified fluid layer [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 1994
Shear flow in a stable stratification provides a waveguide for internal gravity waves. In the inviscid approximation, internal gravity waves are known to be unstable below a threshold in Richardson number.

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.

Modular Electronic Microrobots With Onboard Sensor‐Program‐Steered Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Modular electronic smartlet microrobots integrate ambient‐light energy harvesting, photodetection, programmable CMOS control, and bubble‐based actuation within a sub‐millimeter fold‐up architecture. A 58‐bit on‐board CMOS chiplet enables sensor–program steered switching between independently addressable actuators, achieving closed‐loop 2D navigation in

ParamNet: A Physics‐Guided Deep Learning Framework for Intelligent Self‐Inversion of Vacuum Optical Levitation Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided deep learning framework, ParamNet, is introduced for the intelligent self‐inversion of vacuum optical tweezers. By fuzing dual‐branch time–frequency features with physical dynamical constraints, it achieves high‐accuracy calibration of trap parameters from short‐window, low‐frequency trajectories, outperforming traditional methods ...
