A Semianalytical Coupling Model between Reservoir and Horizontal Well with Different Well Completions

open access: yesGeofluids, 2020
Although currently, large-scale and multilateral horizontal wells are an important way to improve the oil recovery in the unconventional reservoirs, the flow behavior of fluid from the reservoir into the horizontal wellbore becomes more challenged ...

A Method of Productivity Prediction for Multi-Fractured Horizontal Well

open access: yesCejing jishu, 2023
The reservoir of horizontal wells in a block of Junggar basin is tight and highly heterogeneous. After large-scale volume fracturing by classification and clustering, there is a large difference in production.

Optimization of Hole Cleaning and Cuttings Removal in High Inclined Till Horizontal Well

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2020
The goal of this experimental study is to determine the effects of different parameters (Flow rate, cuttings density, cuttings size, and hole inclination degree) on hole cleaning efficiency. Freshwater was used as a drilling fluid in this experiment. The

A selection method of the horizontal wells completion [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2006
The completion of horizontal wells can be done by different ways and depends on production constraints and the reservoir characteristics. The selection of a completon method is directly influenced by the degree of rock consolidation, the need for water or

Key surface logging technologies in horizontal well geosteering

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2012
In the drilling of horizontal wells, the core task of surface logging is to guide geosteering while drilling by using collected data including electrical property, lithology, petrophysics, and oil/gas-bearing properties. Surface logging in the horizontal

Analysis Of The Influencing On The Extension Limit Of A Horizontal Wells With Ultra-Long Horizontal Sections

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering, 2023
Compared to conventional vertical wells, horizontal wells with Ultra-Long horizontal sections greatly increase the oil drainage area and can significantly increase oil and gas production from individual wells.

Different Development Scenarios to Increase the Production Rates for Fauqi Oil Field Southeastern Iraq

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2023
The Fauqi field is located about 50Km North-East Amara town in Missan providence in Iraq. Fauqi field has 1,640 MMbbl STOIIP, which lies partly in Iran. Oil is produced from both Mishrif and Asmari zones.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Horizontal Well Productivity Evaluation for Stress Sensitive Elliptical Reservoirs

open access: yesImproved Oil and Gas Recovery, 2020
Well productivity model is one of the vital tools required to evaluate well performance. Most horizontal well productivity models are idealistic in nature, mainly developed for homogeneous reservoirs and conventional reservoirs, and ignore the influences
