Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

BUILD UP TEST ANALYSIS OF THE HORIZONTAL WELL

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2013
Build up test analysis for the horizontal well is based upon the theory of fluid flow in the reservoir, which is mathematically described by the diffusivity equation of the three dimensional flow and its solutions.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Horizontal Equity: New Measures, Unclear Principles [PDF]

open access: yes
Alan Auerbach and Kevin Hassett offer a new measure of horizontal equity (HE) that is designed to overcome deficiencies in prior indexes. There is, however, a fundamental problem that their effort shares with their predecessors' attempts: the underlying ...

Productivity Index of Horizontal Gas Well

open access: yes, 2017
One of the most direct techniques to evaluate gas well production capacity is by productivity index (PI). As the application of horizontal wells has significantly increased since 1980s, a number of correlations for predicting the horizontal well PI have ...

Production Behavior Analysis of Multibranched Horizontal Oil Well considering Reservoir and Well-Type Factors

open access: yes, 2022
Multibranched horizontal well is an important means to develop low permeability reservoirs. Fishbone multibranched horizontal well has the advantages of increasing drainage area, reducing drilling number, utilizing existing wells, and saving oilfield ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Key Technologies and Understanding of Shale Gas Horizontal Well Drilling of Well JY10HF

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
Well JY10HF is the first exploratory shale gas horizontal well in the Jinfoshan fault slope of Nanchuan. The developed fracture and cave, large dip angle and poor drillability make it easy to be faced with lost circulation, wellbore collapse, inclination
