Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Methodology of crane rail geometry control by geodetic measurements [PDF]
In the new hall of the Institute for Materials and Structures, there was a need to control the geometry of the existing crane rails. In this paper, the methodology for determining the geometry of such a complex structure is presented, and the results of ...

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Horizontality and Canada's Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness: a case study [PDF]
This thesis provides a case study of the Government of Canada's former Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness (OCIPEP) through the lens of horizontal management (part of New Public Management theory).

Horizontality with infinite complexity in the twistor spaces on tori [PDF]
We study the complexity of horizontality in the twistor space $\hat{E}$ associated with an oriented vector bundle $E$ of rank $4$ with a positive-definite metric over a torus. If the horizontality has finite complexity of degree $d>2$ for an element of a

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Ionomycin suppresses cancer cell growth by disrupting mitochondrial transcription
In this study, we identify a new function for the selective Ca2+ ionophore, ionomycin, as an inhibitor of mitochondrial transcription. Both total and nascent RNA analyses revealed that ionomycin treatment reduces the transcription of mitochondrial genes.
