Novel insights into glucocorticoid replacement therapy for pediatric and adult adrenal insufficiency
Adrenal insufficiency is defined as impaired adrenocortical hormone synthesis. According to its source, the deficit is classified as primary (adrenal steroidogenesis impairment), secondary (pituitary adrenocorticotropic hormone deficit) or tertiary ...

It is shown that obesity is associated with increases in hepatic METTL14 and m6A methylation of G6pc transcript. YTHDF1 and YTHDF3 bind to m6A‐marked G6pc mRNA to increase its synthesis. Hepatocyte‐specific deletion of Mettl14 decreases G6pc m6A methylation, G6pc biosynthesis, and G6pc‐mediated gluconeogenesis, alleviating glucose metabolic defects in ...

Engineered Tissue Models to Decode Host–Microbiota Interactions
Host–Microbiota interactions in the human body. Created in BioRender. Ghezzi, C. (2025) https://BioRender.com/ihivskg. Abstract A mutualistic co‐evolution exists between the host and its associated microbiota in the human body. Bacteria establish ecological niches in various tissues of the body, locally influencing their physiology and functions, but ...

Rhythmomimetic drug delivery: modeling, analysis and numerical simulation [PDF]
We develop, analyse and numerically simulate a model of a prototype, glucose-driven, rhythmic drug delivery device, aimed at hormone therapies, and based on chemomechanical interaction in a polyelectrolyte gel membrane. The pH-driven interactions trigger volume phase transitions between the swollen and collapsed states of the gel.For a robust set of ...

LRRC4 deficiency disrupts the metabolic homeostasis of mitochondrial aerobic respiration and glycolysis during GC differentiation by inhibiting the ubiquitination‐mediated degradation of YAP, which ultimately leads to POI. These findings reveal the novel molecular etiology of POI and provide a promising target for prevention and treatment.
