The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Comparison of two peroxidases with high potential for biotechnology applications – HRP vs. APEX2

open access: yesComputational and Structural Biotechnology Journal
Peroxidases are essential elements in many biotechnological applications. An especially interesting concept involves split enzymes, where the enzyme is separated into two smaller and inactive proteins that can dimerize into a fully active enzyme.

Oxidation of NAD dimers by horseradish peroxidase [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1985
Horseradish peroxidase catalyses the oxidation of NAD dimers, (NAD)2, to NAD+ in accordance with a reaction that is pH-dependent and requires 1 mol of O2 per 2 mol of (NAD)2. Horseradish peroxidase also catalyses the peroxidation of (NAD)2 to NAD+. In contrast, bacterial NADH peroxidase does not catalyse the peroxidation or the oxidation of (NAD)2.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

WEAK-ASSOCIATED WITH CELL WALL PEROXIDASE DURING THE ROOT INFECTION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry, 2008
The role of weak-associated potato cell wall peroxidase in potato resistance to ring rot pathogen is shown. The data obtained showed that an addition of anti-horseradish peroxidase antibodies to resistant to this pathogen potato cv Lugovskoy cell culture

Effect of lyophilization on HRP–antibody conjugation: an enhanced antibody labeling technology

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2018
Objective Immunoassay usually deal with the antibody labeling with various reporter molecules, one such useful reporter molecule is horseradish peroxidase (HRPO).

NewN-Glycans in Horseradish Peroxidase

open access: yesAnalytical Biochemistry, 1998
We describe here the structures of several new N-glycan oligosaccharides from horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Glycopeptides from HRP were digested with glycoamidase A (from sweet almond) to release the N-glycans. The oligosaccharides were reductively aminated with 2-aminopyridine, and separated by high-performance liquid chromatography on octadecylsilyl-

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Immobilization of peroxidase from fresh horseradish extract for anthraquinone dye decolorization

open access: yesZaštita Materijala, 2015
Synthetic dyes are used in all sectors of industry and represent a serious ecological problem. By the presence, anthraquinone dyes are right after the azo dyes.
